Ether ETF outflow resumes after one-day inflow
Ether ETF outflow resumes on Farside Investors data after U.S. spot ether funds posted a $99.9 million net redemption day on November 5.

U.S. spot ether ETFs snapped back into redemptions after a single creation day. Ether ETF outflow resumes with a $99.9 million complex total on Farside Investors' table for 5 November 2026.
What happened
Farside listed ETHA at minus $75.2 million, ETHB at minus $22.0 million, FETH at minus $2.2 million and ETHE at minus $0.5 million, for a total of minus $99.9 million. The prior session, 4 November, had totaled plus $53.0 million.
CoinDesk's live wrap, citing SoSoValue for Wednesday, had flagged ether ETFs at about plus $53 million and bitcoin ETFs at about plus $75 million on 4 November — the inflow backdrop that Thursday's Farside redemption print reversed.
Why it matters
Ether products are still trading as a higher-beta twin of bitcoin ETF flows. Our ether ETF inflow reversal note celebrated the $53 million creation day; ether ETF outflow resumes shows that impulse lasted only one session once equity risk came off.
Bitcoin funds told the same story at larger scale. Coverage of bitcoin ETF November outflows framed the month's redemption pressure; Thursday's dual-asset exit argues authorized participants de-risked the whole spot-crypto complex together.
ETHA's $75.2 million share of the $99.9 million total also shows BlackRock's ether product remaining the marginal flow vehicle, just as IBIT often is on the bitcoin side.
When creations reverse this quickly, secondary-market premiums can flip to discounts inside a session and invite further AP redemptions into the next print.
Ether's higher beta to risk budgets shows up clearly when a $53 million creation day reverses into a $99.9 million exit inside 24 hours. Authorized participants appear to have treated ETHA and IBIT as a pair trade against equity volatility rather than as separate fundamental bets on staking yields or ETF fee wars. Secondary-market discounts on ether products can widen faster than bitcoin peers when liquidity thins, inviting further redemptions. Flow follow-through into Friday will decide whether Thursday was catch-up de-risking or the start of another multi-day ether outflow streak.
Staking-yield narratives around ether ETFs matter less on days when equity risk budgets are being cut across the board. Creation desks will reopen only when secondary premiums reappear and when bitcoin funds stop leading redemptions. Until then, ether products remain the higher-beta sleeve of the same institutional de-risking trade.
What's next
Watch whether Farside's next ether session stays negative alongside bitcoin funds or whether ETHA stabilizes first. Farside's ether ETF table is the primary scoreboard for how ether ETF outflow resumes after the one-day inflow.
A second straight redemption day above $50 million would confirm the $53 million creation print as a head-fake inside a broader November outflow tape.
Relative ETHA versus IBIT flows will remain the cleanest tell on whether ether-specific demand can diverge from bitcoin beta.
