Nasdaq added another single-asset crypto exchange-traded product as altcoin wrappers keep expanding. Canary Injective ETF debut arrived on November 5 with the Canary Staked INJ ETF listed under ticker INJC.

What happened

Nasdaq Trader News said that effective Thursday, November 5, 2026, Nasdaq listed the Canary Staked INJ ETF (INJC), with Flow Traders U.S. (FLTG) as the designated lead market maker.

The Block reported the same INJC launch, noting staking rewards accrue inside NAV, Injective tokenized assets above $1 billion, more than 3.13 billion transactions and more than 7.27 million INJ burned as of October 22, plus rival filings from 21Shares and REX-Osprey. INJ was noted up more than 5% on the Thursday tape around the listing.

Why it matters

Staking-enabled wrappers are the next product layer after spot bitcoin and ether funds. Our Fidelity FBTC inflow note showed how quickly creations can concentrate in liquid tickers; Canary Injective ETF debut tests whether that AP machinery can extend to a smaller layer-1 token with on-chain yield embedded in NAV.

Competition is already queued. Rival 21Shares and REX-Osprey filings mean first-mover flows into INJC may not stay uncontested through year-end if those products clear listing hurdles.

Token supply mechanics also matter for the underlying: more than 7.27 million INJ burned alongside a tokenized-asset stock above $1 billion gives the ETF a narrative hook beyond pure price beta.

Market-structure precedent from the equity perpetual futures ruling keeps reminding desks that U.S. venues are still opening new crypto-adjacent rails even as midterm politics reshuffle market-structure bills.

First-week secondary trading will decide whether INJC behaves like a real creation vehicle or a ceremonial listing with thin books. Staking rewards inside NAV complicate premium and discount arithmetic for authorized participants, who must model on-chain yield alongside usual creation baskets. Rival filings from 21Shares and REX-Osprey mean fee competition could arrive before INJC builds a sticky shareholder base. Token-burn and tokenized-asset metrics above $1 billion give marketers a fundamentals pitch, but flow data—not narrative—will decide whether Canary keeps the lead.

Institutional allocators testing altcoin wrappers will compare INJC's staking-in-NAV design with plain spot products that avoid validator complexity. Early premium or discount prints versus indicative NAV will reveal how comfortable APs are warehouse-ing INJ inventory around the listing. If spreads stay wide into the second week, Canary may need incentive programs or tighter DLP commitments to build a usable secondary market.

What's next

Watch first-week creations and whether INJ can hold its listing-day premium once the ceremony fades. Nasdaq's ETP listing notice is the primary source for the Canary Injective ETF debut.

A thin first week of INJC volume would leave the product dependent on Flow Traders' quotes rather than organic secondary demand.

Any accelerated 21Shares or REX-Osprey listing would quickly turn the debut into a fee-and-liquidity contest across multiple INJ wrappers.
