Ether ETF inflow reversal ends multi-day outflow streak

An ether ETF inflow reversal on November 4 totaled about $53.0 million on Farside after a prior-day $85.3 million outflow that had extended a multi-day streak.

U.S. spot ether ETFs finally interrupted a redemption run that had defined early November. The ether ETF inflow reversal printed a $53.0 million net creation day on Farside Investors' table for 4 November 2026 after a $85.3 million outflow on 3 November.

What happened

Farside's ether ETF flow table for 4 November lists a total of plus $53.0 million, with ETHA plus $32.8 million, FETH minus $22.4 million, ETH plus $19.2 million, EZET plus $0.1 million, QETH plus $9.7 million and Grayscale ETH plus $13.6 million. The prior session's minus $85.3 million total had extended the outflow streak that CryptoNews said reached seven days through November 3 and about $656.4 million cumulatively.

Trifolio's dashboard, updated November 5, showed a positive ether ETF day on 4 November as well, though its dollar total differed from Farside; for published copy we stick to Farside's $53.0 million complex print as the primary figure.

Issuer dispersion again mattered: BlackRock's ETHA led creations while Fidelity's FETH redeemed, so the ether ETF inflow reversal was a net positive with an uneven internal mix rather than a uniform bid across every ticker.

Why it matters

Overnight liquidity pockets in Asia and Europe can also leave U.S. cash traders fading moves that looked decisive on thinner global books, so confirmation in New York hours still carries extra weight for multi-day positioning. That is a process point rather than a fresh forecast, but it shapes how aggressively desks warehouse risk after headline sessions.

Ether funds had been the softer twin to bitcoin's own early-November redemptions. Our bitcoin ETF November outflows note framed the BTC-side pressure; the ether ETF inflow reversal is the first clear sign that ETH creations can reappear once price and political tapes stabilize.

Price beta helped. Bitcoin's reclaim of $80,000 and ether's move toward about $2,433 on the same day, tracked in our bitcoin democratic sweep dip follow-through tape, gave authorized participants a cleaner backdrop to warehouse ETHA exposure again.

A single $53 million day does not erase a roughly $656 million seven-day outflow streak, but it does break the mechanical narrative that ether ETFs only redeem in November.

Flow desks will also cross-check ether creations against bitcoin's own issuer split, because Tuesday's FBTC-led bitcoin inflows arrived in the same session as ETHA-led ether inflows. When both complexes flip positive together after multi-day redemption streaks, authorized participants may simply have been waiting for post-midterm volatility to compress. That still leaves open whether creations persist once the political headline fades and price action has to carry the flow tape alone.

What's next

Cross-checks against exchange notices and official tables remain the cleanest way to avoid double-counting figures that recirculate through aggregator headlines within the same session. Editors on this desk keep those primary links in the source list so readers can audit the same prints.

Market participants will also weigh liquidity conditions into the U.S. afternoon, because thin books can exaggerate follow-through moves even when the fundamental catalyst is already in the price. Desk commentary after the print emphasized verifying primary-source figures against secondary wraps before treating any single headline number as settled. That verification habit matters when multiple outlets round the same tape differently across time zones.

Watch whether Farside's next session stays positive or whether FETH-style redemptions again overwhelm ETHA. Farside's ether ETF table is the primary source for the ether ETF inflow print.

A second straight creation day would strengthen the case that November 4 was the turn rather than a dead-cat flow bounce.

If outflows resume above $50 million, the seven-day $656 million streak narrative returns regardless of Tuesday's green print.
