Schroders Solana debt fund goes live via Centrifuge
The Schroders Solana debt fund brings the ISF Emerging Market Bond strategy onchain through Centrifuge, marking Schroders' first Solana fund deployment.

Tokenized funds keep migrating into public chains that already host large RWA balances. The Schroders Solana debt fund lands the Schroders ISF Emerging Market Bond strategy on Solana through Centrifuge, the first Solana deployment for the more-than-$1 trillion asset manager.
What happened
Centrifuge's November 4 blog said it launched Schroders ISF Emerging Market Bond on Solana, called out Schroders' more than $1 trillion of assets under management, and noted Solana RWA balances above $4 billion onchain. CoinDesk put Schroders' AUM at $1.1 trillion (£867.8 billion) as of June, described a SISF feeder with an onchain share class via Centrifuge, and cited RWA.xyz figures putting tokenized Treasuries and money-market funds at $14 billion of a $39 billion RWA total, with Centrifuge platform assets above $750 million. CoinDesk also noted Schroders' prior Ireland SOAR money-market fund share class in August.
CoinMarketCap Academy corroborated the first Solana deployment, said more than 40 emerging-market-debt professionals sit behind the strategy, and reported CFG up about 8% in the 24 hours after the announcement.
The product choice matters: this is an emerging-market bond sleeve, not another T-bill wrapper, so Solana's RWA mix is expanding beyond cash-equivalent tokens into duration and credit risk.
Why it matters
Traditional managers are using Solana as a distribution rail once liquidity and RWA balances clear a threshold. Our New Jersey Coinbase staking coverage showed how regulated venues still wrestle with onchain product permissions; the Schroders Solana debt fund is the asset-manager side of that same institutionalization wave.
RWA concentration also explains why Solana keeps winning fund launches. Tokenized Treasuries and MMFs already make up $14 billion of the $39 billion RWA stack on RWA.xyz figures cited by CoinDesk, so a Centrifuge share class can plug into existing onchain settlement habits rather than invent them.
CFG's roughly 8% jump after the news shows how thin governance-token floats still amplify each blue-chip manager announcement even when the fund economics accrue mainly to Schroders fee lines.
Centrifuge's platform assets above $750 million and Solana's more than $4 billion of RWA balances give Schroders a distribution surface that did not exist when earlier tokenized-fund pilots were confined to permissioned chains. Pairing an emerging-market debt sleeve with that rail also tests whether onchain investors will hold credit and currency risk, not only T-bill clones. Our bitcoin ETF November outflows coverage showed how quickly regulated wrappers can redeem; a Solana bond share class will face the same creation-redemption stress once secondary pricing gaps appear.
What's next
Market participants will also weigh liquidity conditions into the U.S. afternoon, because thin books can exaggerate follow-through moves even when the fundamental catalyst is already in the price. Desk commentary after the print emphasized verifying primary-source figures against secondary wraps before treating any single headline number as settled. That verification habit matters when multiple outlets round the same tape differently across time zones.
Watch subscription volumes into the onchain share class and whether Schroders extends other ISF sleeves to Solana. Centrifuge's Schroders announcement is the primary source for the Schroders Solana debt fund launch.
A second Schroders Solana share class would confirm the chain is becoming a repeating distribution venue rather than a one-off pilot.
Custody, transfer-agency and eligibility rules for U.S. versus offshore investors will decide how quickly the feeder can scale beyond crypto-native capital.
