Hyperliquid 2026 price odds tilt toward $70 on Polymarket
Polymarket traders now see a slide to $70 as more likely than a return to $100 for HYPE this year, after a weeklong drop to about $80.

Hyperliquid 2026 price odds swung lower over the weekend. On Polymarket, the chance that HYPE dips to $70 before year-end jumped from 55% on Friday night to 65% on Saturday night, while the odds of a run to $100 fell from 46% to 40%, according to a daily market review by rg.org. HYPE traded near $79.66 on Monday morning, CoinGecko data show.
What happened
The move tracks a rough two weeks for the token. HYPE closed at $91.91 on Oct. 6, about two weeks after peaking near $98, a record, on Sept. 23. It then fell about 13% in a week to trade around $80, Particle reported, on trading volume of roughly $918 million to $931 million.
Supply worries did much of the damage. Over Oct. 7 and 8, the Hyperliquid Labs team shifted 3.75 million HYPE off-exchange to an unnamed institution, saying those tokens would stay off public markets. Forced selling followed, with about $11.46 million of HYPE liquidations, roughly 98% of them long positions.
Other rungs moved too. The $65 dip contract rose from 49% to 58%, and a run to $120 dropped from 18% to 10%, rg.org said. Monday brought a small bounce, with HYPE up about 1% over 24 hours and a market value near $17.7 billion, according to CoinGecko.
Why it matters
The token's fundamentals and its price have split. Its Assistance Fund has spent about $1.36 billion acquiring more than 48 million HYPE, and fees are converted into HYPE that is burned. Reported total value locked sits near $7.04 billion. Yet price has been driven by token supply and leverage, not platform activity.
Prediction markets give a cleaner read of that tension than chart talk. The latest Hyperliquid 2026 price odds on the Polymarket ladder price a dip to $75 at about 78% and a dip to $60 at about 31%. Leverage on the venue keeps it in the headlines either way, as Saturday's AI stock perpetuals flash crash showed.
Taken together, the Hyperliquid 2026 price odds say traders see more downside than upside from here, although the $70 contract itself trades thinly. Regulation is a slower factor. Its lobbying on European rules, covered in our piece on the Hyperliquid Policy Center and MiCA, matters for long-term volumes rather than this quarter's price.
What's next
With about ten weeks left in 2026, HYPE needs roughly a 25% gain from $80 to reach $100. The rg.org review argued the $100 contract was underpriced, pointing out that HYPE came within about $2 of it in late September. The review put fair odds nearer 47%, since the token fell 13% in a single week this month and moves of that size are routine. Traders will watch further OTC flows from the team, buyback pace and broad altcoin risk appetite.
The call
Polymarket prices "Will Hyperliquid reach $100 by December 31, 2026?" at about 63% No as of 08:31 MSK on Oct. 19; it resolves Yes only if a Binance HYPEUSDT futures one-minute candle prints a high of $100 or more by 11:59 p.m. ET on Dec. 31, 2026. We call No: Hyperliquid will not reach $100 in 2026. The all-time high stalled near $98 in September, and supply from team token transfers has weighed on rallies since. This is a dated record call, not investment advice.
